Sunset over summit cove a little bit ago. Took this after taking our “canak” out. We call it that because I swear it’s a hybrid of a canoe and kayak. Barrett and I paddled against some winds on the stronger side for about 4-5 hours to get to the center of Lake Dillon. It was some of the hardest paddling I’ve done outside of a river. We had to stay close to shore so that if we got too tired and the wind started to blow us back again we could hold on to a rock or log keeping us still instead of back tracking. It was a little hilarious and also really kind of fun. On one of our stops Barrett spotted raspberries up the hillside and proceeded to collect as many as he could. It’s really awesome watching the excitement light in someone. On our way back we were rewarded with another amazing Colorado sunset. A day to be cherished.

Also I’m moving into this cove soon. 🥰
