Reusable grocery bags
Buy products from companies that support the environment, research the company you buy your products from. Our dollar is our vote.
Be careful with the amount of water you use
Bamboo products instead of plastic (hairbrush, toothbrush, etc.)
Digital documents instead of paper
RECYCLE, make sure the products you buy can be recycled or decomposed
Use public transportation, or carpool
Have fewer children, or none. ADOPT!
Start composting to reduce waste you send to the landfill
Use reusable tupperware instead of bags/tinfoil/cling wrap
Use low-phosphate washing-up liquid and washing powder. Phosphates stimulate algal growth when discharged into the water supply, lowering oxygen levels and killing plants and fish
Buy local, or grow your own food!
Hang-dry your clothes
Quit smoking
Clean the back of your fridge. Dusty coils can increase energy consumption by 30%
Choose a car with a 3-way catalytic converter, to reduce nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons emissions by 90%. Or go electric!
Ban blinds. Heavy curtains keep in more heat in winter.
Cut up the plastic rings from packs of beer or sodas, they are invisible in water so wildlife can choke on them or trap themselves, or try to buy drinks without them.
Buy less. Save time and money as well as the planet.
